Prewar Dorfan Toy Transformer with a capacity of 50 watts. This transformer has a secondary of 5 1/2 to 11 1/2 volts in 1.2 volt steps for use on alternating current only. Manufactured by the Dorfan Company of Newark, N.J.  Case has some minor surface rust.  Cord appears to be original cloth wrapped with plug.  Cord and plug have damage and should either be replaced or just used for display.  Transformer is missing a binding post nut.
